Helium Potential in Greenland: Positive for Pulsar

Updated: Jun 24

A critical mineral report by the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland assessed the potential of helium in Greenland, highlighting significant occurrences and exploration activities. Greenland falls under the EU critical minerals legislation. In central East Greenland, the Tunu hot springs and Liverpool Land area, explored by Pulsar Helium, showed helium concentrations up to 0.8%. South Greenland's Uunartoq hot springs recorded even higher levels over 2%, associated with Mesoproterozoic Gardar magmatic rocks. The report also notes the ongoing exploration efforts and potential for undiscovered helium resources in these regions, particularly where geological conditions favour helium accumulation through radioactive decay and magmatic activities.
