In an interview with Proactive Investors, Helix Exploration CEO Bo Sears discussed the critical role of helium in modern technology. Sears highlighted its extensive use in sectors beyond balloons and blimps, such as in semiconductor and fibre-optic manufacturing, and for rocket launches. He emphasised the indispensable nature of helium in medical technologies, particularly MRI machines, where it is used for superconductivity with no known substitute. Sears also addressed the logistical challenges of helium supply, noting the global scarcity of storage facilities, with only two existing worldwide, which positions helium as a just-in-time inventory resource.
