Innovative Helium Supply Method for Cryogenic Experiments

Researchers have developed a new way to supply helium for experiments conducted at very low temperatures. This method involves sealing helium gas within a special container attached directly to the coldest part of the experimental setup. When the setup cools down, the helium gas turns into a superfluid—a form of liquid that flows without friction and can be used to study quantum physics phenomena. This approach eliminates the need for complicated and leak-prone tubing systems to bring helium into the experiment from outside, making the experiments more stable and efficient. It's a significant improvement for experiments exploring the properties of matter at the quantum level. We see quantum technologies as a major future demand growth segment for helium.
