The State of Minnesota enacted a new legislation that allows for the exploration and production of non-hydrocarbon gases, including helium, on state lands. This legislative change, effective from May 22nd, marks a significant shift from the previous policy that restricted leases to privately held mineral rights. The new framework will enable Pulsar Helium, which has seen success with its Jetstream #1 well at the Topaz project producing 13.8% helium, to apply for state land leases. This move is expected to encourage more extensive exploration and production activities within the state. Pulsar is now planning to accelerate its works at Topaz and expand its footprint in Minnesota.
