Quebec Innovative Materials Corp (QIMC), a Canada-based mineral exploration company, launched a hydrogen exploration programme at the Ville Marie, Montreal, property in partnership with the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS). The programme, led by INRS experts, involves systematic soil-gas sampling and new geophysical surveys to identify hydrogen and helium seepages and map deep geological structures in the Precambrian basement. There are only a handful of companies exploring for natural hydrogen in Canada such as Chapman Hydrogen and MAX Power.
