Quebec Innovative Materials Corp (QIMC) identified natural hydrogen concentrations over its Ville Marie property in Quebec, with some soil samples showing ~1000 ppm of hydrogen—equivalent to 0.1% hydrogen by volume. Eight readings exceeded 600 ppm (0.06%), with two surpassing 1000 ppm. In collaboration with the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), QIMC mapped an anomalous 70 km² area, highlighting strong hydrogen potential. Upcoming exploration activities include further soil sampling and geophysical surveys in fall 2024 to assess geological features linked to hydrogen reservoirs and faults.
